Bridges can be removable or fixed. Like crowns, fixed bridges also give you a choice of materials: gold, porcelain fused to metal or all porcelain. Fixed bridges are cemented in and are cleaned with good oral hygiene rather than removed from the mouth. Removable bridges (or partial dentures) are usually less expensive in initial cost or in repairs than fixed bridges. However, they may feel less secure in your mouth than fixed bridges.
